Vincent was at his granddaughter’s graduation when, after initially feeling fine, he began to get dizzy. Vincent went to his car to warm up and found his speech was beginning to become garbled. His daughter called 9-1-1 for help and drove to meet the local ambulance halfway. The ambulance took Vincent to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA, and Life Flight Network then transported him to a hospital in Seattle for further care. “Everything was perfect. It went so smoothly,” said Vincent while recalling his experience that day.

Vincent’s rapid transport to the hospital was essential during his time-sensitive emergency. His flight to the hospital only took 42 minutes, while ground transport took 2.5 hours.

Vincent only stayed in the hospital for three days and had no deficits due to his stroke. When asked what it meant to have Life Flight Network to help with his care, he responded, “My life.”

“I just want to thank everybody at Life Flight Network. They don’t call it life flight for nothing.”, said Vincent.
