Stroke in Council, ID

Lori owns a local coffee shop and laundry mat in Council, ID. She was finishing up a shift when she got a headache, which was unusual for her. Luckily, some of her customers noticed something wasn’t right, and they called 9-1-1. When the EMTs arrived, it wasn’t clear if Lori was having a stroke, but due to her symptoms, Life Flight Network was quickly activated to transport her to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

Every minute counts when someone is showing signs of a stroke. Immediate treatment can minimize damage to the brain or worse. Life Flight Network delivered Lori to the hospital in time to receive thrombolytic therapy, a critical, time-sensitive intervention for stroke treatment.

“I owe a lot to Life Flight Network, and I thank them very, very much for the time that they bought me,” says Lori.
