Aurora, OR. (October 10, 2019) – Life Flight Network and Saint Alphonsus Health System are celebrating 10 years of partnership in providing the highest levels of care to the communities throughout Idaho and Eastern Oregon.  For the past decade, the teams from Life Flight Network and Saint Alphonsus Health System have been providing unparalleled, compassionate care for critically ill and injured patients throughout their service region. With flight crews and medical personnel on duty 24/7, the teams from Life Flight Network and Saint Alphonsus Health System are saving lives every day.

“We’re extremely proud to partner with a health care system that shares our relentless commitment to safe, compassionate, efficient and expeditious care,” said Life Flight Network CEO Mike Griffiths. “Since we began our partnership in 2009, we’ve been honored to work alongside the exceptional providers at Saint Alphonsus to serve our communities and be there when our patients need us.”

Saint Alphonsus Health System has established the region’s premier surgical program with five facilities throughout the region, including a Level II Trauma Center in Boise, which provides the most advanced care available within 500 miles.

In Idaho, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is designated as a Level I Stroke Center, a Level I STEMI (severe heart attack) and Level II Trauma Center. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, Level I STEMI facility, and a Level III Stroke Center.  Combined with the System’s hospitals in Ontario and Baker City, OR, which both are designated as Level IV Trauma Centers, Saint Alphonsus provides seamless access and transfer to the higher level of care in Boise.

“Our decade-long relationship with the Life Flight Network continues to allow us to provide critical care and services to people in Idaho when and where they need it,” said Jennifer Misajet, MHA RN CNOR CSSM, Vice President of Operations/interim Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and a Life Flight board member.  “As a rural state, Idaho benefits greatly from the partnership between the Life Flight Network and Saint Alphonsus, allowing us to safely provide high quality care during transport while getting patients quickly to the tertiary care and services Saint Alphonsus provides. The people of Idaho and beyond have access to Life Flight’s high quality medical transport services from their home community to the trauma care and other complex services available at Saint Alphonsus when they need it most.”
