Life Flight Network’s Campaign for Life has successfully come to a close. With generous donations from community members and grant funds, Life Flight Network Foundation raised the necessary funds to purchase a flight simulator for our training program. Notably, during the campaign the Foundation was the recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund and a $20,000 grant from the Spirit Mountain Community Fund. The grant funds received from these organizations were invaluable.
Maintaining and enhancing the skills of our pilots with a focus on safety is of paramount importance to Life Flight Network. With increasing flight assets, continued training becomes more important than ever. In 2015, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recommended helicopter services utilize flight simulators for scenario-based training to enhance safety. The simulator will enrich our training program for our helicopter pilots, benefiting everyone living in our service area of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana
As the campaign comes to a close, we want express how grateful we are to the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund and the Spirit Mountain Community Fund as well as the community members who donated to the campaign.
