EMS Requests

EMS, Fire, and Police can place LFN on standby at no cost, or activate LFN by calling LFN's Communication Center at (800) 452-7434. When requesting the helicopter, it is helpful to have the following information to expedite your request:

Name of requesting agency and contact person
Location of incident with the nearest cross streets and city. (GPS coordinates are helpful but not mandatory. Major landmarks near the scene are also helpful.)
Landing zone (LZ) information
Call back number
On scene radio frequency and PL tone if applicable
LZ coordinator unit number

Interfacility Requests

Hospitals can place LFN on standby at no cost, or activate LFN by calling LFN's Communication Center at (800) 452-7434. When requesting the helicopter, it is helpful to have the following information to expedite your request:

Name of requesting agency and contact person
Hospital unit and call back number
Receiving facility and contact number
Nature of call: (medical, trauma, etc.)
Patient weight
Special needs:
-OB patient - flight nurse must talk with sending MD or RN
-Transvenous pacemaker, invasive lines, support ventilation, Gardner-Wells tongs,Intra Aortic Balloon pump, traction devices, ICP bolts, etc.
Patient name, age, intubated or not, drips with pumps
Referring MD and Receiving MD
