Nurses

CURRENTLY NO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Summary: The Flight Nurse is responsible for working with the Flight Paramedic
in the delivery of advanced critical care to patients of the Life Flight Network.
The Flight Nurse assumes and is ultimately responsible for all direct patient care
in accordance to the guidelines and protocols of the Life Flight Network.
The Flight Nurse will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to
communicate with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups,
often in highly stressful situations.
The Flight Nurse works varied shifts and must be available to cover call shifts. Full-time and part-time (part-time RNs must have a minimum of 5 years previous flight experience)
Paramedics

CURRENTLY NO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Flight Paramedic is responsible for working with the Flight Nurse in the delivery of advanced critical care to patients of Life Flight Network. The Flight Paramedic, working under the supervision of the Flight Nurse, renders patient care in accordance to the guidelines and protocols of Life Flight Network. The Flight Paramedic works varied shifts and must be available to cover call shifts.
Dispatchers

CURRENTLY NO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
LFN Communication Specialists are responsible for receiving and coordinating all incoming requests for transport.
They use the latest technology and data systems to document patient transports and track each aircraft.
Communication Specialists must sucessfully complete a specialized training program.
They are required to have a communications background with a minimum of two years experience in police, fire or medical emergency dispatch.
LFN Communication Specialist are all Certified Flight Communicators through the National Association of Air-Medical Communications Specialist.
Rotor Wing Pilots

LFN rotor pilots have extensive flight experience in rotor wing operations. They must have a minimum of 2000 rotor wing flight hours, a minimum of 1500 helicopter flight hours, a minimum of 1000 helicopter hours as Pilot in Command (PIC), a minimum of 100 hours of unaided night flight time as PIC, a minimum of 500 hours of turbine time, and must be helicopter instrument rated. Most LFN rotor wing pilots far exceed those requirements, with an average of 5000 rotor wing flight hours.

Fixed Wing Pilots

Fixed Wing pilots must have a minimum of 500 total flight hours, a minimum of 250 hours as PIC, a minimum of 25 hours multi engine, and a minimum of 50 hours night.

Mechanics

LFN mechanics must have an Airframe and Powerplant license. The mechanics are highly skilled in helicopter maintenance and perform detailed checks and repairs on a set schedule for each helicopter and fixed wing. Crews highly regard the mechanics and depend on their thoroughness and skills to assure the air worthiness of each helicopter and fixed wing.
